STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENT:
1. We will begin collecting fees on September 4-5and again onSeptember 11-12. Please begin informing and encouraging students to pay fees on one of these days.
2. Distinguished Young Women: Meeting Sunday, September 8th at the Baptist Healthplex. Sophomores and parents will meet at 2:00 and Juniors will meet at 2:30.
3. Tickets for the Clinton- Brandon football game this Friday night are being pre-sold in the athletic office. Avoid long lines and use the pass gate. Tickets are $7.00.
4. Any current or former Latin student interested in joining the Junior Classical League (aka Latin Club) please see Mrs. Vinzant in room W112 after12:30. Dues are $10 and cover local, state, and national membership fees.
5. If you are interested in joining DECA, please go by W203 to sign up with Mrs. Prather. Dues are $20 to cover local, state, and national dues. The deadline to join is Friday, September 20. You must pay your dues when you sign up. To be eligible to join, you must have taken or be taking a business class. For more information, please see Mrs. Prather.
6. Attention Students: Get your creative juices flowing! We are having a contest for the design of this year's homecoming t-shirt. What you need to know:

Other: - Design needs to be submitted on white 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of unlined paper. You can have up to two colors on the front and up to five colors on the back. (Black and white count as colors but the color of the shirt does not).
Please submit your drawing to Mrs. Prather in Room W203 no later thannoon on Friday, September 13.Prize: The artist of the winning design will win one free homecoming t-shirt and a pair of homecoming dance tickets!
7. NHS Members: $5 dues must be paid any Tues. or Thurs morning from7:50 to 8:15at the east end entrance bySept 24. Early period students and 1st Block Career Complex students pay Mrs. Darnell.
8. NHS Members: If you missed our monthly meeting on Wed. Aug. 28 you have untilThurs. Sept. 5to read and sign the minutes posted in W210 ( Darnell)
9. Anchor Club applications are available outside Mrs. Berry's room (W212). There is a list of members who DID meet the service requirement for last year and are welcome to join again this year. New members are invited to join this community service organization that is open to both guys and girls. Dues are $15 and should be paid bySeptember 11.
10. If you are interested in joining the CHS ART CLUB please pick up an application from Ms. Gentry in room E102. The deadline to apply isSeptember 13th!
11. Beginning Tuesday, September 3rd, all students must have decals on their cars. No student should park in a reserved parking space unless he/she has purchased it. Students who fail to comply with the rules will be ticketed.REMINDER: Juniors and Seniors who scored advanced on the State English or History test will receive a free regular parking decal or $5 off a reserved parking decal.
12. REMINDER: Pants must sit on the waist and shirts should be no longer than your pockets. Button up shirts must be tucked in!
13. Yearbook staff is selling patriotic t-shirts for the Patriotic Pep Rally – the cost is $15 - cash and carry. See Mrs. Burris W109!
