POLICY STATEMENT

The Cork Street Fund considers applications for grants from bodies or groups that provide care or support to those in need within the Dublin area. Annual donations, annual subscriptions and core funding applications are not considered. The Fund does not make grants to individuals for their own need. The application should be for a specific purpose with details of the expenditure involved. Grants generally range from €500 - €2,000 with the maximum grant being €2,000 in any year. Cork Street Fund can only make grants to charities that are registered with the Charities Regulatory Authority (CRA). The CRA registration number must be included on the form, the application cannot be processed without this number. The CHY number and CRA number are different numbers.

Cork Street Fund may favour applications from smaller organisations who have limited access to funds. To help in the decision making process, please make sure that you include the financial information requested on the form.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applications must be made on the current Cork Street Fund Application Form and must be legible. The completed form must be sent to the Secretary by 15th February or 15th September for consideration at meetings held in March & October. Prior to assessment, applicants may be contacted by a Trustee in order to clarify the information provided on the form or to request additional information.

Shortly after the assessment meetings all applicants will be contacted and informed of the outcome. All grants have to be approved by the Charities Regulatory Authority. This process can take eight weeks. Once approval has been given the grant will then be issued to the applicant without delay. Acknowledgement of the grant is requested and a report on the use of the grant is expected in due course.
