Why choose Spanish?
Learning new languages requires a big effort but it opensminds to new contexts, cultures and encourage people to think with a different point of view, also being able to speak and communicate with people from other parts of the world.
What will we look for with this subject:
Develop ability to communicate confidently and coherently in another language.
To express and develop thoughts and ideas spontaneously and fluently.
To listen and understand clearly and articulate speech in normal speed.
To acquire new knowledge, skills and ways of thinking through the ability to understand and respond to material, adapted as appropiate.
To develop awareness and understanding of the culture and identity of the spanish speaking countries and communities.
To work with other areas of the curriculum with a bilingual learning.
To develop language-learning skills, that can be useful for the future.

Learning a language requires Time and Dedication, there will be weekly homework to do, and my email is available at any time to solve questions.
During the development of the course and due to the nature of the activities, students might be recorded and have pictures taken.
It will also include activities involving other students from Spain as an interactive activity.

Topic 4: Customs and festivals in Spanish-speaking countries/communities

Theme 3: Current and future study and employment
Topic 1: My studies
Topic 2: Life at school/college

Assessment:
First GCSE assessments will be in April/MAY 2018.
It will be 4 different tests in different days.
Instructions will be given in both languages and the answers must be in Spanish.
Progression opportunities:
progression to GCSE, AS and A Level in Spanish Language. In addition, the study of one language at GCSE can facilitate the learning of other languages.It can also be added to and individual´s employability profile.
