Dear Members:
It’s hard to believe, but we are more than half way through 2014 and planning is underway for our Fall programs, including theelection and installation of Officers for 2015. We are excited that Virginia Association of REALTORS® CEO Terrie Suit will be our guest speaker at the Installation Luncheon to be held on November 13th. What an honor!
As our chapter’s President Elect, Michael Straley will be attending the WCR Leadership Academy in Chicago in early August. This 2-day training event provides the next President with essential leadership and chapter management tools. The amount of information is overwhelming but it’s an amazing experience to share and learn with leaders from 238 chapters nationwide!
Michael and I represented our chapter at the WCR Mid-Year Conference (now called the REALTOR Party) in D.C. in May and we were shocked and amazed that our chapter, out of all the new chapters nationwide, was named 2013 NEW CHAPTER OF THE YEAR. This was quite an honor and accomplishment, and our thanks go to Past President Rebecca Straley for her commitment to our chapter! WCR Fredericksburg is really on the map and REALTORS® everywhere are taking notice.
If you have a REALTOR® friend, a cooperating agent, or someone in your office who exemplifies WCR ethics and professionalism please bring them to one of our meetings so they can experience the energy, education and enthusiasm we share each month. Our members make us what we are….the best new chapter in the United States! Don’t keep it a secret!
If you missed Shoes, Sips & Satchels on June 12, you missed a fantastic evening of shopping, sipping, laughing and sharing.
