1. JOB INFORMATION
JOB TITLE: Factory Auditor – Central
BAND: 5
DEPARTMENT: Technical
REPORTS TO: Factory Auditor Team leader
RELIEF: Other Factory Auditors in the team
(In absence of Factory Auditor Team Leader)
LOCATION: Craigavon
2. JOB PURPOSE
Carry out technical auditing of the Northern Ireland factories against defined factory standards, on variety of days/shifts; report findings.
3. RESPONSIBILITIES
3.1  FINANCIAL
Commercial awareness of actions.
3.2 STAFF
No direct reports
3.2  ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE / REPORTING LINE

4. DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
·  Auditing of factory environment including, but not limited to:
o  Housekeeping
o  Process Control
o  Personnel
o  Product Care
o  Hygiene
o  Traceability
o  External areas
o  Staff Shop
o  Canteen
o  Factory Fabric
·  Provide verbal feedback during audit and assist in developing auditees’ understanding of standards required
·  Provide written report for each audit, reporting both compliance and non-compliance
·  Raise NCN reports for issues identified
·  Provide summary reports as required
·  To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
·  Any other duties as may be required to fulfil the needs of the role.
5.  MEASURABLE OUTPUTS
·  Allocated audits completed and reported as scheduled
·  Satisfactory (or better) feedback from factories
·  Satisfactory (or better) competency report
6. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Essential / Desirable
·  “A” level / HND (preferably food related) or experience, in similar position
·  Understanding of ‘what good looks like’ for a food manufacturing site
·  Communication and interpersonal skills through cross – functional teams and departments.
·  Initiative, self-motivated, assertive, tenacious, well organised, influencing skills.
·  Team worker.
·  Customer focussed approach.
·  Problem solving and decision making skills.
·  Full driving licence.
·  Working knowledge of Excel/Word. / ·  Third level qualification in food science or related subject.
·  Knowledge of HACCP, BRC Standards, Food Legislation, Food Hygiene.
·  Advanced Diploma in Food Hygiene Management
·  Intermediate Certificate in Applied HACCP Principles.
