Explanatory notes
1Definitions
BCATS environment refers to any workplace or context where work or activities related to the building, construction and allied trades sector take place, such as school workshops or training establishments,outdoor areas and industry placement workplaces.
Industry bodiesrefers to organisations that play a role within an industry in a regulatory, support or advisory capacity. This includes regulatory bodies, industry training organisations and trade or professional associations.

Evidence requirements
1.1Major sectors of the glass industry are identified, and described in terms of the scope of work undertaken within the sectors.
1.2Common work processes for glass processing and glass installation are identified and described, and reasons for the processes are explained.
1.3Potential clients of the glass industry are identified and the nature of the relationship is described.
1.4Potential supply relationships of the glass industry are identified and the nature of the relationship is described.
1.5The inter-relationships between the glass industry and other trades are described in terms of crossover and compatibility.
1.6Industrybodies involved in the glass industry are identified and their impacts on glass industry work are described.
1.7Job roles within the glass industry are described in terms of team structure, career paths and training.
