Capital Campaignin full swing forour New Clinic!

Our current building(pictured on the left) is about 1,200 feet of space, divided into three floors. It is a residential home that has been converted to our use. As you can see from the graph below, we have been able to increase the number of surgeries we perform continuously through the years, even in these cramped quarters. As it stands now, we have reached our limit. The sad truth is, for many of our four-legged clients, a visit to our clinic will be the only time it will see a veterinarian during its lifetime. Although any NJ resident may use our services, we specifically concentrate on reaching populations in low-income areas who are unable to afford to spay/neuter their pet at a full-service veterinarian. We work with shelters in underprivileged areas, and have implemented targeted outreach programs. For many pets and their families, we are the only option available. But with our clinic fully booked at all times, we must do even more – with your help.

After 20 years at our current location, People for Animals has purchased a new property. The building is twice the size of our current clinic, and located right across the street! Although rescue and adoption services are important parts of the solution to homelessness, clearly spay and neuter are the most effective investments we can make to reach our common goal – which is to see the day when our shelters are empty and every animal will be born into a world where a good home waits anxiously for its arrival. Although more people have their animals spayed and neutered as a matter of course, there are thousands upon thousands of dogs and cats still reproducing. We are not responsible for creating the problem, but each of us is responsible for contributing to the solution, and for investing our precious resources in the programs that have the highest impact. We at PFA are dedicated to providing those programs.

Buying a new clinic, and the resulting expansion of programs and services will have a greater effect in reducing the euthanasia of cats and dogs than any other course of action.

Anyone who has been to our clinic will tell you that we provide extremely high quality care to each and every animal that passes through our doors. We perform over 6,000 surgeries annually, statistically preventing the birth of hundreds of thousands of animals each year. Since the clinic was founded in 1985People for Animals has performed over 91,000 spay/neuter surgeries – taken in total we have prevented the births of literally MILLIONS of unwanted dogs and cats. Turn the page, and see how you can help!
