STALLS AND ENTRIES:

*Stall fees: Stall fees are $50.00 per stall per day with no additional charge for Sunday. Every horse entered in the Academy Classic must have a stall. No jump-outs permitted. *Entry fees: Entry fees for qualifying classes are $20.00 and for championships are $25.00. Leadline and leadline walk/trot entry fees are $10.00. Becker Brothers WTC Challenge is $35 and includes the judge’s educational commentary for the audience and rider. One winner is recognized; riders may only win this class one time in their academy career. Limited to 10 total entries on a first come basis so get your entries in early!

***To keep showing expenses down for families yet also ensure meaningful class counts, each age group of a division will only be split once to accommodate horse-sharing. This means “Sparky” can take care of two WT 10 & under riders from one barn, but not three. Please plan your entries accordingly.***

*Office fees are $15.00 per horse-rider combination. Make checks payable to: St. Louis National Charity Horse Show. Checks returned for insufficient funds will result in assessment of a $50.00 fee along with the amount already owed.

SERVICES: A farrier will be on the grounds during the show. Mid-Rivers Equine Hospital will be on call Sunday.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:

*The Academy Classic is MHSA-sanctioned and will be run according to current MHSA rules. If an MHSA rule does not cover a particular issue, USEF rules will govern. Be aware of these rules BEFORE coming to the show! If no specific rule governs a situation, the show management, in its discretion, will exercise judgment and exhibitors will agree to abide by that decision.

*Judge’s decisions are final.

*Run-downs/polo wraps/therapeutic bandages are permitted on any academy horse competing at these Championships.

*Current Coggins exams are required on all horses brought onto the horse show grounds. Entries will not be accepted without proof of negative Coggins.

*To ensure the safety of participants, any horse that the judge deems to be out of control will be excused from the ring immediately.

*Any class with less than three entries will be combined with the next older age group in that division. If entries warrant, classes will be split into sections. If entries warrant, additional championships may be held. Whether classes are combined or split is within the management’s discretion. Entry in this show signifies the agreement of the parties to abide by management’s decisions.

*All riders who compete and are judged in the preliminary classes are eligible for their respective Championship classes.

*Protective headgear (ASTM-SEI) is STRONGLY encouraged for all riders and drivers and is REQUIRED for all junior riders and drivers.

AWARDS: In all classes, ribbons will be awarded through sixth place. In Championship classes, ribbons will be awarded through sixth place. Championship trophies and other awards will be presented in championship classes.

If mailing or faxing Academy Entries, they must be received by Thursday September 19, 2013 - after that date please bring entries to the show.

Sponsorships make the Academy Classic possible. Please ask your parents and youth groups to consider making a contribution to this event. Class sponsorship is $25; Championship sponsorship is $100. Thank you.
