Cedar Crest Line/Locust Grove Water

1) How far inside the right of way will waterline be? FOUR (4) FEET

2) Has the phone company already moved their phone lines? YES

3) Please note that you cannot reset a gate valve and keep the waterline in service- this is also true for the hydrants.The waterline would have to be pressure tested and new bactees taken.The bid schedule calls out for remove and reset of gate valves and hydrants. Would it not be feasible to set new gate valves and hydrants? YES WE WILL USE NEW GATE VALVES AND HYDRANTS. See new bid sechdule.

4) Are road crossing open cut or bored? OPEN CUT BUT FILL BACK AND COMPACTED

All gate valves and hydrants become the property of the Locust Grove Public Works Authority and the Peggs Water Company, off of each town water line.

Total Roadway, Bridge, and Water Lines 1 and 2 work will be awarded as one construction contract to the bidder submitting the lowest responsible total bid. The Cherokee Nation reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.

It is understood that the above lump sum and unit prices include all work required or implied by the plans and specifications and that all work not specifically set forth in the proposal as a pay item shall be considered a subsidiary obligation of the contractor and all costs connected therewith shall be included in the appropriate lump sum or unit price provided in the proposal.

Accompanying the proposal is a (Certified Check) (Bidder’s Bond) in the amount of DOLLARS ($______), which shall become the property of the Cherokee Nation, Tahlequah, Oklahoma, as liquidated damages if the Proposal is not accepted within Ninety (90) days after the date of opening bids and if the undersigned fails to execute a contract and furnish bond as specified within ten (10) days after receipt of written notice of such acceptance and receipt of the prescribed forms.
