HARGRAVES-TRIAMBLE SPORTS DAY & ODE
Hargraves Triamble Pony Club is once again holding our annual Sports Day and ODE on 9th/10th January.
Please note these are 2 separate days and our ODE is only over 1 day not 2days as stated on the PCA website.
Just thought I would give you a few details to make this event smoother, easier and also help you to arrive safely and without any unnecessary detours.
- Our Sports Day is held on Saturday the 9-01-10 at the Hargraves Rec grounds. It is approx 40km from the town of Mudgee along the Hill End Rd and the entire road is sealed. The ODE is held at “Dun Dun” Hill End Rd Hargraves 2850, which is 17kms from the town of Hargraves; there is approx 2mk of dirt road. We will have maps at the sports day but if you need future directions don’t hesitate to call me.
- We have two properties to camp on, “Wyoming” This property is 15kms from Hargraves so in the morning you will need to pack up and head on over to “Dun Dun” however there is a clean Shearing shed to sleep in with power to boil your kettle and if you are ever so ****“quick”**** the owners of the property Dawn and Eric Colley have said it is ok to have a shower as they have a bathroom off the house. There are large yards and if your horse can share a yard it would be helpful.
“Dun Dun” is our other property to camp and it also has a shearing shed, power and yards. The owners of “Dun Dun” Bob and Sally Colley would appreciate if no one camped down at shed near the set up area for the ODE but to come up to the second drive way and camp up the top (Please come to the house and ask for direction as to where to camp) Please do not set up yards or hammer posts into the ground before speaking to Bob as there are many pipes underground.
FINALLY: Could you please come and see us at the office on Saturday if you are camping just so we can clarify where everyone is going.
Please remember to respect our hosts and their properties, Bob and Sally open up their property to us to used the ODE course and we are most grateful, remember also that we are in drought and water is precious, don’t waste is and use it sparingly.
