General Parish Update: Father Cletus was not present.

Buildings and Grounds: Gary Allen reports that Buck Blacktop will be doing the parking lot at a cost of $150,000.00. They will re-grade low spots and put in a parking space on the east side of the convent for the renters. Work will begin July 7th.

  • Bids are being taken to replace the flat roof over the sacristy.
  • Bids of $3,880.00 and $5,500.00 have been given to replace the walk way and repair and fill the cracks on the south entrance of the church. This does not take care of the water

flow issue and the concrete will again buckle. The plan now is to get estimates from 2

landscaping companies to remove the steps, put in a retaining wall, replace the walk way and also take out the walk from the steps to the walk way along the west side of the church.

  • The recycling situation has not saved the money as thought, too many stipulations. It will need to be re-evaluated.
  • The rain garden is on hold due to lack of interest and the estimate from the county is at $8,500.00.

Changes to the Parish Council Constitution and By-Laws have been approved and will be sent to the Archdiocese.

  • They have approved the use of the Parish Accounting Service Center (PASC) for the cost of $16,500.00 per year. This service is provided by the Archdiocese and will replace John as an accountant and then reduce the need for a bookkeeper. David Borchert has stepped down from his position.
