In accordance with Article VIII, Section A., of the Agreement between the Board of School Trustees and the Clarksville Education Association, the Board of School Trustees of the Clarksville Community School Corporation has declared the following vacancy:

HEAD FOOTBALL COACH

Qualifications

  • Teacher certification preferred.
  • The candidate should have an established background in football.
  • Have a solid understanding of the rules and techniques of the game and can explain them to players.
  • Be able to work with athletes and parents related to issues that may arise during the season.

Duties

  • Plan, organize, and conduct practices, games, meetings and team functions within the parameters of IHSAA, Mid-Southern Conference and Clarksville Community School Corporation guidelines.
  • Establish team rules and conduct a parent meeting.
  • Ensure that all athletes have completed the IHSAA Physical Form and other required paperwork needed to participate.
  • Communicate with Athletic Director regarding equipment and uniform needs and submit an inventory at the conclusion of each season.
  • Maintain accurate rosters, records, and statistics. Communicate any roster changes to the Athletic Director and submit entry forms in a timely manner.
  • Effectively communicate with media outlets by reporting scores, records and statistics in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the middle school football program and be involved with our youth football league.
