Position:Internal Sales Engineer

Key responsibilities;

  • To identify potential customers and follow up to achieve new sales this will include an amount of cold calling
  • To initiate regular and systematic telephone follow up of customers and maintain
  • records using the CRM system.
  • Ensure that all Northern Europe quotes generated out of Walsall are inputted into the CRM system
  • To follow up sales leads generated by marketing activities via telephone.
  • To effectively assess customer needs and offer/demonstrate appropriate solutions.
  • To produce accurate written service quotations when required
  • Liaise closely with the customer support team ensuring all enquiries quotations are on CRM system for NE
  • To contribute to the planning of customer engagement activities.
  • Generates and champions new ideas, approached and initiatives
  • To be able to access and update the ORACLE system.
  • To coordinate the completion of customer questionnaires.
  • Ensure that all customer approved vendor listing are kept up to date and approved by all customers.
  • To manage all sales leads that come via the internet web page.
  • To make recommendations and suggestions to improve the quality and efficiency of
  • own work, of the UK Sales and Marketing Teams.
  • Undertake market mapping and investigation as required
  • Visit customers as and when required
  • Work to and produce KPI information
  • Assist in production of presentations and marketing material
  • Participates in improvement activities to ensure the smooth flow of systems and information and to eliminate waste in all processes.
  • Ensure all HSEQ rules and regulations are communicated and enforced throughout the Organization. Proactively participate to safety awareness and improvement.
  • To represent Hydratight in a professional manner at all times, both internally and externally. To follow the published processes and comply with all company policies and procedures. Be an ambassador for the businesses in particular ensure that Health & Safety comes first at all times

Candidates wishing to be considered for this position should have the following qualifications/experience:

  • Degree qualified in either Mechanical engineering, Business/Marketing related discipline or similar
  • Good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Effective communicator, prepares and delivers, clear, concise and persuasive communication in both verbal and written English
  • Experience in using a CRM system and an ERP system would be advantageous
  • Demonstrates a ‘can-do’ spirit, a sense of optimism and urgency
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to succeed.
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion, for client facing experience
