Today is a new day, rising fresh from the Creator’s hand. Today we begin again, with praise and thanks to God who made us, to Christ who redeemed us, and to the Spirit who supports and guides us. Here we participate in the fellowship of the Forgiven, the Church. Here we gather strength and wisdom for the days before us. It is good to be together today.

We welcome Pastor Roger Bouwman to our pulpit as he leads us in our morning worship service. May the Lord bless the proclamation of His Holy Word.

This afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Glory Road Quartet from Council Bluffs, IA. will be giving

a concert in our church. The group was formed in 1998 when the members discovered they had a common interest in the southern gospel style of music and a desire to develop a music ministry to spread the message of God’s love, power and grace through song. Invite your friends to join you and come to hear the message they will be giving.

Next Sunday Pastor Roger Bouwman will lead our morning worship service.

Next Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. One Way quartet will be giving a concert in our church. One Way quartet has been singing gospel concerts since their beginning in 1990. The members are Ginger Nobles, Tim Mauldin, Mary Jo Huls, Marilyn Maurer and Craig Johnson. Each of the members has extensive background in gospel singing and 4 of the members are second generation children of the Ambassador Quartet also of George, Iowa. One Way's music appeals to people of all ages, so invite your friends andcome, join us for an evening of praising God through song,

Everyone is invited to stay for coffee fellowship following the morning service.

Coffee servers will be Carol Smidt, Esther Bosma, Charlie & Pearl Vander Pol

Next Sunday coffee servers will be Mike & Carol Ling, Marley & Ruth Grotenhuis

CHURCH FAMILY

Kathy Zylstra has abdominal surgery scheduled for Wednesday, September 17.

Pray that God will guide the surgeon’s hands and decisions during this surgery.

Pray for peace of mind and good healing from the surgery for Kathy.

THANK YOU!

Karen and I would like to express our sincere appreciation to the congregation for your caring response to the tragic death of Karen's sister, Susan Bliek. Your calls, cards and visits were very comforting and your prayers certainly have been uplifting. The Council's thoughtful decision to grant me bereavement leave for Sept 7 was something Council members knew I needed before I realized I needed this. Thank you all very much.
