Upgrading SYnergy Firmware

Upgrade via Communication Software

Preliminary to upgrade
Open the Version_[XXXXX] folder, save and extract the relevant upgrade file to DEF | SYnergy in your SY-Bridge/SY-Server/[Other Communication Software] directory.
OR:
If you decide to save this file under a different path, please specify path on Upgrade.rdy under software root directory (instances of SrcFile = ___).
Running terminal upgrade (perform on a single terminal first)
1.  Run your communication software.
2.  Select terminal to be upgraded.
3.  Test communication to terminal and check status of current version.
4.  Go to Maintenance | Synergy Management | Update Firmware.
A window opens.
5.  Fill-in password: day x month (Gregorian date), Click Unlock and OK.
6.  If this is your first upgrade, click the browse button and browse to upgrade.rdy file location (A/M). Click the B button to check file location and click Save to exit (path will be saved).
Upgrade will now take place. Terminal will be inactive. Do not attempt to use terminal, as upgrade must continue uninterrupted!
7.  Once upgrade has been terminated, check communication with terminal and compare current status version with status version prior to upgrade.
8.  Now upgrade (steps 3-7) may be repeated on multiple terminals (more than one terminal, as per your choice).

Upgrade via Disk on Key

1.  Open the Version_[XXXXX] folder, save and extract the relevant upgrade file.
2.  Copy and extract the Repair folder to your DOK root directory.
3.  Plug your DOK into terminal.
4.  Reboot terminal.
Upgrade will now begin. Prompt displays notifications on upgrade progress until a completion message is displayed.
5.  Unplug DOK.

After communication has been tested, status check will indicate: “key=Down” and a “No application” message will appear on terminal prompt.
This means programming must be sent to terminal.

Send full programming to terminal. Fill-in password: day x month (Gregorian date), Click Unlock and OK.
