INVITATIONS AND MEMORIAL RESOLUTIONS
To whom was referred a Concurrent Resolution (H.4999) to request the Department of Transportation name the portion of South Carolina Highway 28 in McCormick County from the South CarolinaGeorgia state line to its intersection with Highway S87, etc., respectfully

That they have duly and carefully considered the same and recommend that the same do pass:

ACONCURRENT RESOLUTION
TO REQUEST THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION NAME THE PORTION OF SOUTH CAROLINA HIGHWAY 28 IN MCCORMICK COUNTY FROM THE SOUTH CAROLINAGEORGIA STATE LINE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH HIGHWAY S87 (NEW HOPE ROAD) “VETERANS HIGHWAY” IN HONOR OF OUR MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE SERVED OR WHO CURRENTLY ARE SERVING IN OUR MILITARY AND ERECT APPROPRIATE MARKERS OR SIGNS ALONG THIS HIGHWAY CONTAINING THIS DESIGNATION.
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:
That the members of the General Assembly request the Department of Transportation name the portion of South Carolina Highway 28 in McCormick County from the South CarolinaGeorgia state line to its intersection with Highway S87 (New Hope Road) “Veterans Highway” in honor of our men and women who have served or who currently are serving in our military and erect appropriate markers or signs along this highway containing this designation.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the Department of Transportation.
