Initial Inspection and Set Up
Inspect entire instrument for concealed shipping damage
Check all frets to ensure there are no high or low frets
Check neck angle
Adjust neck relief
Adjust string action height
Adjust intonation
Check every note on every fret for buzzing
Pre-Stretch all strings for solid tuning stability
Electronics
Verify smoothness and operation of all pots and switches
Test all electronics functions
Hardware
Verify smoothness and operation of vibrato if applicable and adjust as needed
Verify contact at output jack and adjust tension nut as needed
Verify strap buttons are secured solidly to the body
Verify tuner machine heads have smooth operation and adjust tension as needed
Check all hardware for unwanted vibration and adjust as needed
Fit & Finish
Check entire instrument
Oil and buff fingerboard.
Fine Detailing
Verify instrument is accurately tuned
Polish entire instrument
Case/Gig Bag/Box Contents
Check to make sure all warranty information and any applicable accessories are included
