Call to order: 7:05pm

Introductions: president (Carla Perry), vice president (Carolina Neely), and secretary (Hillary Amici), Gary Messinger (principal), parents, and teachers

Secretary’s Report: Motion to accept first Faye Sipeand seconded ElishaReed

Treasurer's Report: We have over $9,000 surplus, look for ways next year to use that. Motion to acceptJaime Pollack and SecondedElisha Reed

President's Report: Under committee reports

Principal Report: Mr. Messinger would like to thank all the PTO officers, committee chairs, and volunteers for a great year. The silent fundraising, especially through box tops, did well. May daywent extremely smooth and we have only heard positives. The three breakfastsare always fun with student’s family and friends. The newsletter was a great addition this year and thank you for the Spanish version. This is a fun time of year with all the excitement but with all the excitement it makes it difficult. Spring concert tomorrow and there is a faculty band surprise. Moms and muffins will be held Thursday morning. Also up the schedule is field day, camp heron Monday- Wednesday, and June 7this 5th grade promotion.

Nominations 2017-2018: Co-president Jaime Pollock & Leah Krull, Secretary Karen Economopoulos, and Treasure Lauren Sherman. Motion to accept Gary Messinger, seconded Carla Perry. All accepted byteachers and parents.

Teacher's Report: Mrs. Lynch stated that mid-marking period was only last week and we are continuing to learn. We try to have something going on every day to keep students interest. For instance Junior Achievements has been coming in, a spring concert preview, Moms and Muffins, and finishing upFrindleon Friday. Mr. Mentzer added a thank you PTO for all did this year and with teacher appreciation week.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

Silent Fundraiser: This last Box Top 88 students participated, and we had a total of $286.20. With labels for education we have7600 points and are able to purchase supplies such as order jump rope, balls & items. Our Giant funds totaled $1753.43 this year.

Santa Shop: Leppo & Slatt are interested in creating a new experience for Santa’s Secret Shop. It will include a place you can shop, hot chocolate, food, crafts, and pictures with Santa. The startup cost is $1500. This will be visited by the 2017-2018 PTO officers.

Family Fun: The Senators baseball game event was a fun success, with a profit of $373.

May Day: The event was held inside and was run very smoothly. If it is nice out next year, it is suggested to run the event both in and outside. Soccer boosters did a wonderful job with food and should bel looked at again for next year. PTO budgets $4000, income was $2043, and our expenditures werespent $600 on prizes, $809 shirt. With that we made $612, did not touch the $4000.

May Day Dash: Rescheduled Saturday May 20, 2017, at East Hanover Township Park. We will meet down by the tennis court, just over the bridge. Students will run around the whole gravel path and finish, near the start, running to their grade sign. You must sign-in and get a popsicle stick with your name on to run. 8:15 sign-in 9:00 race start
