About The Program

This is a first-class entrepreneurship training at Seattle University Albers School of Business with full access to all the Business School’s facilities and resources during the program.

You will be expected to commit to attend the course for one weeks fromSeptember 7-11, 2015 and then on September 26 for Final Presentations and Graduation Ceremony. Sessions are held from 9am- 5pm, free lunch and snacks will be provided. Free childcare while you attend the classes will be provided as well, but you will need to inform HERA of your needs in advance.

In addition, each successful candidate is matched with a business or professional mentor, who provides career and business advice over a year’s time to help the graduate implement her career and/or venture objectives and plans.

HERA aims to recruit young women who are:

(1) serious about becoming entrepreneurs and/or finding long term employment;

(2) are at a stage where they can make a serious commitment to their career aspirations;

(3) Have survived trafficking, exploitation or violence/abuse and/or face difficult economic circumstances that might make them vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation; and

(4) are ready and willing to take on the challenges of the HERA training and mentoring. Some women, given their long term aspirations, may be excellent candidates after they sort out other aspects of their lives first and may want to apply later.Top of Form
