TWENTY-SIXTH SENATE DISTRICT

Twenty-sixth. All of Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren Counties; all of the City of Harrisonburg; and part of Rockingham County comprised of the Bergton (104), Bridgewater (401), Broadway (101), Dayton (404), Edom (202), Fulks Run (103), Lacey Spring (105), Melrose (203), Mt. Clinton (204), Ottobine (207), Plains (107), Silver Lake (405), Singers Glen (201), Tenth Legion (106), and Timberville (102) Precincts.

Precincts shall be interpreted to refer to those in existence on April 1, 2011, and as reported by the United States Bureau of the Census in the 2010 Census reports provided pursuant to United States Public Law 94-171, notwithstanding subsequent changes made by localities.

The following descriptions are provided for information purposes only pursuant to § 30-264 of the Code of Virginia. The provisions of § 24.2-303.3 of the Code of Virginia, including the statistical report referenced in and on file with the Clerk of the House of Delegates, shall be controlling in any legal determination of the district boundary.

Part of Rockingham County lying north of a line described as follows:

  1. Beginning on the RockinghamCounty—AugustaCounty boundary and its intersection with Vance Road
  1. northeast on Vance Road to Windy Cove Road (State Route 755)
  1. northwest and then northeast on Windy Cove Road to Nazarene Church Road (State Routes 750 and 755)
  1. northwest on Nazarene Church Road to Lambert Town Road (State Route 755)
  1. northeast on Lambert Town Road to Briery Branch Road (State Route 257)
  1. east on Briery Branch Road to Ottobine Road (State Route 257)
  1. southeast on Ottobine Road to Dry River Road (State Route 738)
  1. south on Dry River Road to the western boundary of the town of Bridgewater
  1. south, east, and north around the boundary of the town of Bridgewater (placing all of the town of Bridgewater in Senate District 26) to Oakwood Drive (State Route 704)
  1. southeast on Oakwood Drive to South Valley Pike (U.S. Highway 11)
  1. north on South Valley Pike to Cecil Wampler Road (State Route 704)
  1. east on Cecil Wampler Road to I-81
  1. north on I-81 to the Rockingham County—City of Harrisonburg boundary
  1. northeast and north around the eastern boundary of the City of Harrisonburg to I-81
  1. northeast on I-81 to Trinity Church Road (State Route 724)
  1. southeast on Trinity Church Road to Indian Trail Road (State Route 717)
  1. northeast on Indian Trail Road to Flook Lane (State Route 724)
  1. southeast on Flook Lane to Mountain Valley Road (State Route 620)
  1. south on Mountain Valley Road to Pack Saddle Trail (State Route 724)
  1. southeast .85 miles on Pack Saddle Trail to an unnamed trail
  1. southeast 1.7 miles on the trail (south boundary of census blocks 511650105001047 and -1053) to Third Mountain Ridge
  1. northeast 2.9 miles on Third Mountain Ridge to an unnamed ridge line continuing north from Third Mountain Ridge
  1. north 2.4 miles on the unnamed ridge line to the Rockingham County—Page County boundary at the southwest corner of Page County and the ending point.
