Oleotrol I

Oleotrol®-I is a biodegradable, residue-free, OMRI listed insecticide that is made from soybean oil and fatty acids. It works only on direct contact with the pest insect. The fatty acids disrupt the pest's cellular membranes making them permeable. The cell contents then leak and the insect quickly dies. Once the spray is dried there is no residual insecticidal activity. Oleotrol®-I has a zero day pre-harvest interval – you can spray and harvest the same day.

This product will not build pest tolerance or burn leaves when used according to directions.

Suggested Uses: Fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, turfgrass, and trees.

Pyrethrin

What are the differences between pyrethrum, pyrethrins and pyrethroids?

Pyrethrumis the extract from the flowerhead of the Chrysanthemum plant. The six esters known collectively aspyrethrinsare found within the pyrethrum extract. The pyrethrins are the active ingredient in pyrethrum that kills insects.

Pyrethroidsare synthetically produced compounds with a chemical structure that is similiar to the structure of one of the pyrethrin esters. They kill insects by a similiar mode of action, but do not come from flowers.

Evergreen Pyrethrum Concentrate is a broad spectrum insecticide that isOMRI Listedfor use in both certified organic production and situations where a botanical insecticide fits the needs of the customer.

Monterey Garden Insect Spray contains Spinosad, which is derived through fermentation of a naturally-occurring soil bacterium. Spinosad controls caterpillars, thrips, codling moth, leafminers, borers, fruit flies, fire ants, and more! Spinosad works on the insect's nervous system, causing paralysis and then death in 1-2 days. Since the insects are paralyzed, they may stay on the plants and be mistaken for live insects; always check for Spinosad's effect 2-3 days after spraying to evaluate control in the insect population.

OMRI listed Monterey Garden Insect Spray is safe to use with the following beneficial insects: minute pirate bug, ladybird beetles (lady bugs), green lacewing, and mite predators. However, it is toxic to bees; for this reason, applications should be made in the late evening and on plants that are not blooming, pollen-shedding, or nectar-producing.

Organocide - 3 in 1Garden Spray – Sesame Oil

Here are your FAQs:

How does Organocide® 3-in-1 Garden Spray work?

Dense oil spray smothers target insects on contact. The fatty acids in the oil are toxic to the target insects and they are unable to develop a resistance.

Once liquid dries, a micro-film is left on the plant. Any hatchlings of the target insects get trapped in the film and die.

Females arriving after treatment detect the film and will not lay eggs on the treated plant; recognizing the area as hazard to their eggs.

What insects will Organocide® 3-in-1 Garden Spray control?

It kills the eggs, larvae, nymphs and adult stages of over 25 soft bodied insects including (but not limited to) aphids, chinch bugs, citrus rust mites, flea larvae, fungus gnats, hemlock wooly adelgid, leaf-rollers, mealy bugs, psyllids, scale, spider mites, thrips, and whiteflies1.

Will it kill bees or butterflies?

It is soft on Beneficial Insects – it will NOT harm Bees, Butterflies or Ladybugs.

What fungicidal properties does Organocide® 3-in-1 Garden Spray have?

It controls certain fungal diseases such as (but not limited to) powdery mildew, downy mildew, black spot on roses, septora spot, bacterial tomato spot, citrus greasy spot & helminthosporium. It works by depriving the disease spore of moisture necessary for propagation and protects the plant from germ tube penetration and spreading of pathogens such as powdery mildew.

If spraying on severely stressed or damaged plants, split the dosage rate in half to avoid adding additional stress.
