Script Instructions
Welcome to the Toastmasters International District 25 script. Where items only pertain to a subset of contests, it will be marked by lines and arrows, as below.
This is a sample section.
Prior to your briefings, either remove or mark out the sections that do not pertain to the contests at hand. Remove this instruction section as well. In addition, make modifications to this script so that it works for you and your event.
Additionally, it is highly recommended to print this script, punch holes and put in a three-ring binder. This will allow you to keep your place more easily than with loose sheets.
Please arrive one hour before your contest begins. This will allow you time to get organized before the Contestant Briefing begins, where you will need information to complete this script.
When using this script, do not read aloud the “Action” or “Parenthetical” portions that are highlighted in gray.

Contestants, timers, ballot counters, and sergeants at arms have all been briefed prior to the beginning of this contest. Everyone is aware of the Toastmasters International rules that govern this contest. No one should enter or leave the room during the contestants’ presentations. You may do so, if time permits during the minute of silence, between presentations. While the contestants are speaking,we ask that you not take pictures, particularly with flash cameras, or to video the contestants without their permission.
