October 2006
Dear Emmaus Family,
What an exciting time of year to be part of this Community. With Chrysalis #38, Walk #100 & Walk #101 right around the corner there is much to be done. Namely, pray, pray and pray some more. We all know, first hand, what life changing weekends God wants these to be but I think He wants us to have a part in that. Obviously, if you are working a Chrysalis or Emmaus weekend or playing the all-important role of sponsor, hopefully you have already been praying. But for those of us that aren't "officially" a part of these teams, we can, at the very least, pray for the team and those who will be coming into our Emmaus and Chrysalis Communities as a result of these fast approaching weekends. Let's cover these three special weekends in an abundance of prayers.
Besides showing support in our prayer life, remember all the ways you can serve both the Chrysalis and Emmaus weekends (sponsoring, serving a meal, providing food or table agape, your presence at send-off, candlelight & closing, showing up to help clean the campground or a simple act of kindness to the family of the person who is at the campground as part of the weekend). You know, getting our Priorities straight, being the Priesthood of All Believers, showing a Life In Piety, practicing that Christian Action, modeling Discipleship, which does in fact, Change Our World.
It is an exciting time to be part of this wonderful family...but there is work to be done so I encourage you to get involved, get on your knees and get to as many of the "special services" as you can. You will be blessed!
Speaking of blessings, Chastity Yates, Matt Hess, Darrell Adams & Betty Bishop... 4 amazing people who (together with their families) have and will, no doubt, give so much to these weekends. Thank you for your service and example!
Looking forward to seeing all of you at Gathering on October 7th for Team Dedication for Walk #100 & Walk #101.
DeColores,
Colleen Bagley

BOARD NEWS
Reminder: 6 new Board Members will be voted on at the November Board meeting. Nominations should be given to Pat Belden, Larry McKenzie or Roye Wilson.
Also at the November gathering there will be a special offering for the Niagara Emmaus Community.
We need volunteers to help with clean up at the campground (especially after the Women’s' Walk when there is much to be done). Anyone interested in showing this unselfish act of Agape love should contact Roye Wilson (765-2817).
Temiko Wesley is the new Chrysalis liaison to the Emmaus Board. Welcome “Taco”!!

PSALMS 23
The Lord is my Shepherd
That’ s Relationship
I shall not want
That’s Supply
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures
That’s Rest
He leadeth me beside the still waters
That’s Refreshment
He restoreth my soul
That’s Healing
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
That’s Guidance
For His name sake
That’s Purpose
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
That’s Testing
I will fear no evil
That’s Protection
For Thou art with me
That’s Faithfulness
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me
That’s Discipline
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies
That’s Hope
Thou annointest my head with oil
That’s Consecration
My cup runneth over
That’s Abundance
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life
That’s Blessing
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
That’s Security
Forever
That’s Eternity
