Lodging Suggestions

Darien/McIntosh County (approximately 18 miles from DNR):

http://www.mcintoshcounty.com/ go to Lodging

Suggest Open Gates Bed and Breakfast or The Blue Heron Inn. Hotels located at I-95 exits will be more inexpensive. Also, a friend of mine has a rental cottage. You can check that out at http://www.vrbo.com/3656533

Jekyll Island:

http://www.expedia.com/pub/agent.dll?qscr=htwv&from=m&stat=1&khst=1&locn=Jekyll+Island+GA&ploc=Jekyll+Island+GA&loid=&eapid=13172-1&kword=jekyll%20island%20hotels&zz=1157398666484&

Jekyll is currently undergoing extensive renovations/upgrading. Some hotels may be closed. The Hampton Inn is one of the newer hotels on the island and is located on the beach. The Days Inn is located on the beach.

St. Simons:

Suggest Hampton Inn, Best Western Island Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Sea Palms Inn (formerly Quality Inn), Epworth-by-the-Sea, Village Inn, King and Prince

St. Simons and Jekyll Island hotels are approximately 9-10 miles from DNR.
