Designed and implemented classroom guidance units. Topics included social skills, career development, conflict resolution and self-awareness. Conducted individual and small group counseling with students to increase academic performance and school attendance. Developed and implemented a new student orientation program led by third grade students. Consulted with teachers to design individual behavior plans for students displaying behavior/academic problems. Attended parent-teacher conferences and consulted with community organizations to sponsor guidance counseling activities. Also created a guidance counseling web page for the school to serve as a resource to families.
