ASSOCIATE MEMBER OF THE YEAR

(Application Procedures)

The submission of candidate’s materials for the Northeast MSTA Associate Member of the Year Award must be postmarked by February 14. Awards will be presented at the Northeast Region Spring Awards Banquet. The Northeast Region Teachers Association will award one winner in this category with a $500 award and $50 to the sponsoring CTA.

  • Each candidate must complete and submit the current application posted on the MSTA website. (Application and supportive materials must be typed to be eligible.)
  • Signature of Associate Member and current CTA President are required on the application.
  • Two signed letters of recommendation (one from a teacher in your district and one from another colleague in your district) must be attached.
  • Submit five photocopies of the completed application along with the original (total of 6 copies).
  • Candidate must be an employee in a support role in a school district. (minimum of 2 years of employment)
  • Candidate must be an MSTA and CTA member.
  • CTAs may nominate one candidate.

Finalists must attend an interview process conducted by the NE Region Executive Committee in the spring at the MSTA Headquarters in Columbia, Missouri. Finalists will be notified by mail of their interview time. Nominees attending an interview, in Columbia, will receive a $25 mileage stipend.
