Legislation relevant to this unit standard includes but is not limited to the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992and any subsequent amendments.

2Assessment information

–All work practices must meet recognised codes of practice and documented worksite safety procedures (where these exceed the codes) for personal, product, and worksite safety), and must also meet the obligations required under current legislation.

–Calculators and/or conversion tables may be used to assist in calculations.

–Requirements may include but are not limited to – timeliness.

Evidence requirements

1.1Product calculations are completed in accordance with workplace requirements.

Rangeproduct calculations may include but are not limited to – metric to imperial and/or imperial to metric conversions, fractions, measurements, weights, volumes, dimensions, tolerances;

evidence of two types of product calculations is required.

1.2Output rate calculations are completed in accordance with workplace requirements.

Rangeoutput rate calculations may include but are not limited to – addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, percentages, time, averages;

evidence of two types of output rate calculations is required.

1.3Rejection rate calculations are completed in accordance with workplace requirements.

evidence of two types of rejection rate calculations is required.

1.4Production target progress calculations are completed in accordance with workplace requirements.
