- The pGep- retroviral cassette was from Phil Soriano (Chen, W.V. nature genetics 2004)
- The 3’LTR of pGep- do not include the gene supF. The viral promoter and enhancer are both deleted in the U3 region of the 3’ LTR to avoid potential interference with gene expression in the resulting provirus.
- The U3 region of 3’LTR is transfer to the 5’LTR upon provirus integration.
