a) MD (Internal Medicine). One year (Post MD) clinical experience as Medical Officer/Senior
Registrar in Hospital/Organization/Institute.
OR
MBBS with five years of clinical experience in hospital/clinic/institute.
b) Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications.
MBBS candidates with two years clinical experience in hospital/clinic/institute and having knowledge of use of personal computers and applications may also apply. However they will be considered for the appointment as MEDICAL OFFICER (C) in (PB-3) : Rs.15600-39100 + GP : Rs.5400/- (TME Rs.70796/-), only if, no candidate is found suitable for Medical Officer (D). The age of such candidates should be below 35 years.
Desirable: Experience of working in general hospital.
Job Description :
Medical Section provides the comprehensive primary health care to the Institute members. Institute members, Research scholars, Research fellows, projects workers, official visitors, conference delegates and casual workers visit the medical section for their medical problems and medical emergencies. The medical section has the outpatient clinic with pharmacy, pathology laboratory, facility for ECG and a physiotherapy unit.Medical section not only provides the basic health care facilities, but it also takes initiative in health promotion activities such as diet counseling and health education.
Sr. No. 2 / : / SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B) – [1-Scheduled Tribe] :
Qualification : i) B.Sc. with minimum 55% marks AND Graduate in Library/Information Science with minimum 55% marks. (minimum 60% marks in any one of the above i.e. B.Sc. or B.L.I.Sc.) (ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.
Experience : 0-2 years in a well established Scientific/Technical Library.
Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having extensive knowledge of Information Technology including the use of Library Management Softwares.
Job Requirements : Besides the routine library operations, the candidate is required to take care of the computerized activities in the library. Initiation to create a digital library and web-based services is expected.
The selected candidate may have to work in shifts between 07:45 hours and 22:00 hours (including Saturdays, Sundays and other holidays).

Qualification : (i) Graduate (ii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and applications (iii) NCC Certificate (C) OR Advanced Civil Defence Course Certificate/Home Guard Training.
Experience : Five years experience in Security in a large and reputed PSU/Industry/Research Institutions.
Desirable Experience : Experience in safety and fire management in a large and reputed organization.
Physical Fitness : a) Male - Height more than 165 cms. ; Chest 80-85 cms.
b) Female - Height more than 157 cms: ; Chest – not applicable
c) Weight - Corresponding to height and age as per medical standard.
d) Eye sight-The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 both eyes without glasses and colour recognition.
Physical Efficiency Test Male Candidates :
a) / Running Fitness : / 100 meters in 16 seconds and 1.6 km in 6.30 minutes for running tests conducted on smooth and straight running tracks. The time will be extended to 8.50 minutes for 1.6 km running test conducted in TIFR Colony.
b) / Long jump : / 3.5 metres (3 chances)
c) / High jump : / 1.05 metres (3 chances)
d) / Short put (7.26 kgs) : / 4.5 metres

Note : Ex-Servicemen (and CAPF) not below Junior Commissioned Officer or equivalent or having five years experience as Non-Commissioned Officer or equivalent if selected will be offered grade pay of Rs.4600/- [Assistant Security Officer (B)]. Age relaxation is as per rules. Educational qualification for Ex-Servicemen is graduation from a University. Graduation Equivalent Certificate from Ministry of Defence is not sufficient.
(Relaxation in Physical Fitness to members of some communities as per extant GOI rules).
Selected candidates will be required to work in shifts.
General Information :
Higher starting salary could be considered for deserving candidates. Candidates are liable to be transferred to other Centres/Field Stations of the Institute, if required.
Appointment for the posts at Sr. No. 1 & 2 will be initially for a period of three years, including probation period of one year. Continuing appointment beyond the initial period of three years will be subject to the results of a comprehensive review and performance appraisal. After successful review, the appointment is continued till superannuation age, which is sixty.

Selected candidates for the above posts will be governed by the National Pension System applicable to the Central Government service [unless she/he is already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules 1972].

iii. / Outstation candidates called for interview for the post at sr.no. 1 will be paid single First Class (not air-conditioned)/III Tier A/C return train fare and outstation candidates called for interview for the post at sr. nos. 2, 3 & 4 will be paid single Second Class (not air-conditioned) return train fare for the journey by the shortest route from the nearest railway station of their place of residence to the place of interview on the production of photocopies of onward and return journey tickets.
