Mino Paper Art Village Project ‘13
“Artist in Residence ‘13”
We are inviting domestic and foreign artist to stay in Mino city for a certain period of time so that they may create their original works of art out of Mino Japanese Paper.
How to apply
You should submit an application, attaching the CD-ROM in which your works are saved. (No different forms regarding application.) Please enclose the recommendation by the artistic institute if any. Please see *CD-ROM of next paper for details of CD-ROM. We will not accept the application via e-mail.

Deadline
Submit an application by April 15, 2013. (Only original application by mail. The application must reach us by April 15 without fail.)
Selection process
Selection Committee will select decision impartially.
Notice of Decision
Decision will be made in the beginning of July and all applicants will be notified of the result.
Please note that the submitted forms will not be returned.
Support
1) Transportation fees to Central Japan International Airport (Round trip, Economy class, the shortest route) [It will be calculated based on the standard set by the Art Village. There is a limit to airfare we can pay.
2) You are expected to be provided with 50,000 yen per month for the expense related to your artistic activities and other basic expense.
3) You are provided a host family. (Basically supported to stay with a host family. This includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner.)
4) Volunteers support artists about interpreting and others during your stay.
5) The studio is arranged, but it has no good equipments. Please bring the tools you need for your products.
Conditions and eligibility
1) You should complete a work of art during your stay using Mino Japanese paper as your motif.
2) The period of invitation is 90 days. The invited person should come to Mino between September 10,2013 and September 12 , and return to his/her country after December 8,2013.
3) Artist who are 20 years or over.
4) You are required to participate in local exchange activities by host during your stay.
5) You should donate your works made of paper to Mino city before leaving.
6) Artist who are willing to continue to promote the quality and beauty of Mino Japanese paper to people in your country after your return.
7) Artist are required to report to us during the program at Mino within a year after you go back to your own country by articles or papers at newspapers, magazines and we site etc.
7) During your stay, you can take within 10 holidays. But it is impossible to go abroad.
8) You should come to Mino with insuring yourself against injury and disease in your country for your stay.
9) Health of both body and mind.
Exhibition
Hold an exhibition of this program from December 5, 2013 through January 13,2014 at Mino Washi Paper Museum.
