Enterprise architectures; work flow modeling and design; systems integration methodology; vertical and horizontal integration; master data analysis and integration; and hands-on experience.

Prerequisite:

EGN 5620 or permission of instructor.

Course Objectives:

To provide students with fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise systems integration and implementation in a contemporary business environment.

Each student is expected to do his/her own lab exercises and OM homework assignments independently and hand them in at the beginning of the next class session.

SAP hands-on test

The hands-on test will be 150 minutes, and will be an open-books and open-notes.

The exercise test will include 3 parts:

1). Enterprise operations planning and financial functions

  1. Create forecast for your product group
  2. Generate SOP and covert SOP to demand management
  3. Plan production capacity
  4. Define cost and price strategy
  5. Upon completion of the steps above, student starts to initiate operations including MRP, purchasing, production, and sales functions and generate financial expense and revenue.
  6. Create balance sheet and P & L statement
  7. Analyze financial reports.

2). HCM Recruitment

  1. Create a new position
  2. Create advertisement
  3. Receive applications for advertized position
  4. Hire a applicant
  5. Transfer applicant info to personal administration

3). Warehouse management

  1. Process transfer orders for inbound and outbound deliveries
  2. Process transportation order for delivery between plants

4). Crystal dashboard design (5% bonus points)

  1. Design a table in Excel for your SAP crystal dashboard design based on your financial report in 2016.
  2. Implement your dashboard design with bar chart and/or line chart with a combo box to show 1) your assets values such as your bank account values, and inventory values in 2016, or 2) switch to see your account values in Liability and equity, or 3) switch to check the account values in the profit and loss statement such as revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), discount, and profit in 2016 in your company US##.

Final written test

The final exam will include book chapters, hands-out, PP slides, OM homework assignments, and SAP lab exercises which are covered in this class. It will consist of both multiple choice questions and computational problems. The test will be 120 minutes, and will be a closed-books and closed-notes test.
