Competency should be assessed while tasks are undertaken either individually or as part of a team operation under limited supervision. Assessment should involve:
- observation of work processes
- questioning related to underpinning knowledge.
Assessment may be by intermittent checking at various stages of each task application or at the completion of each task in accordance with the performance criteria. Project work may also group pre-requisite and/or
co-requisite competencies together to carry out such projects.
