The University of Chester Alumni Association sponsors two students or staff per year, to achieve their personal goals in sport or community initiatives where the ability to participate is inhibited by lack of funding. The Cestrian Alumni Awards aim to assist the individual and empower them to succeed in their chosen project.
Aspiring sportsmen or sportswomen may apply for this award, requiring personal financial assistance with sports activities at a high level (e.g. international representation).
Applications are welcomed for personal financial assistance in non-sporting activities, especially those which support the community. The fund will not be available as a direct donation to other charities.
