New Business / The President thanked everyone for coming out tonight.
The December minutes were approved and posted to the SCA website. There was no meeting in January.
The treasurer report and the budget reports are all posted for December, January and February.
Beauty and the Beast
Email will be sent out for donations of snacks and water and also for volunteers to work the refreshment stand each night. If you’d like to volunteer please email Michael. As a reminder we are selling snacks, water and pretzels. No candy this year as the play is selling candy grams.
We will be set up in the hallway near the cafeteria. Any leftover snacks and water from the cast luncheon will be donated.
We will purchase 150 pretzels each night with 300 purchased for Saturday’s two shows.
Jazz band will help with sales and donations of refreshments.
50/50 Sales
Chris will email out to list of volunteers to set up schedule for each night. We will be selling only before each performance. We will not be selling at intermission.
Russell Fisher
We are now looking at April 15th or 22nd for the workshop with Russell Fisher. Russell came up through Millhouse playhouse. He went on to Broadway. He was the DJ in Jersey Boys and has also been Franki Valli.
He will be coming to Steinert for a workshop with the students for 2 hours. He will work with groups and one on one. This is open to middle schools and high school students. The cost is $5.00 per person
Bung’s Tavern Fundraiser
Still looking to do this fundraiser at a later date in the spring. Date still to be determined. Judy Standifer is working on the dates.
Trenton Thunder
Permission slips have gone home with all the students. It will be May 3rd, Hamilton Township Day at Trenton Thunder. Students participating from Steinert will be asked to wear their black membership t-shirt. If they do not have one, Stacie said she had extras on hand.
Scholarships
Michael reported that the applications will be available soon for SCA scholarships. Judy Standifer and Barb Clark are heading that committee. More details to come.
Spiritwear
Michael reported that we didn’t have enough orders to meet the requirement minimum order. All monies will be returned.
Officer Positions for 2015-16
We will have 2 possibly 3 Executive Board positions to fill for next year. President, Recording Secretary and possibly Treasurer. Elections will be done in May.
Senior Gifts
Maribeth Regan is heading this committee for senior gifts. We have plenty of keychains and bookmarks left over from previous year. Michael will look into the Barnes & Noble gifts cards. Maribeth will be looking for a couple of volunteers to put these together.
Gift for Mr. Schneider
It was brought up whether we would purchase a gift for Mr. Schneider this year and what it might be. Michael reported that we would wait to see how the budget is looking closer to May before deciding on what to get. We will review this again at future meetings.
