Organisational Background
Mercy Connect as an organisation dates back to 1882; its particular business of community based services to people with disabilities began in 1976 due to an unmet need in the field of disabilities including but not limited to challenging behaviour, autism and acquired brain injury.
We are a Catholic organisation sponsored by the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy Australia & PNG and support those in greatest need.
As a member of the management team it is expected you would be familiar with and work towards positively impacting the organisational purpose, values, key results and strategic plan.
Position Purpose
The Manager Support Services, Albury is responsible for the provision of business and financial support and advice to the Team Leaders. The position is responsible to ensure organisational service and financial sustainability in the context of the changing internal and external environment within which we operate.
Position Key Result Areas
Position Responsibilities / Performance Measures
Support Service Management / Manage services to ensure compliance with the objectives and principles of the NDIS.
Manage services to ensure person centred service and achievement of Participant goals.
Ensure rostered services are provided as per NDIA funding agreements.
Business Plans and Budgets / Facilitate the development and implementation of Business Plans and Budgets to meet participant and service goals and objectives
Ensure invoicing for service provision is timely and ensures cash flow requirements are achieved.
Team Leader Support / Provide operational support to team Leaders and ensure oversight of
·  Budgets
·  Supervision, support staff and rostering
·  Documentation to meet compliance requirements
·  Team development
·  Incident immediate response and review
·  Participant Funds Management
Supported Independent Living Funding / Oversee and ensure Mercy Connect compliance with SIL service packages, and development to best meet participant requirements. Excluding day activities.
Participant and Stakeholder Relations / Provide backup and support to Team Leaders in developing positive and proactive relations with participants, families and advocates.
Policy & Procedure / Assist to build systems, practice and procedures to consolidate the Mercy Connect brand and service delivery.
Ensure services operate in compliance with agreed clinical governance frameworks and quality plans.
Report and resolve any issues that could be changed, improved or implemented.
Professional Development / Engage in regular supervision and mentoring sessions to support your professional development and ongoing learning.
Keep abreast of sector development including participation in relevant industry associations and conferences.
Undertake relevant training which will ensure development of skills.
Management Team / Contribute proactively to management team meetings.
Represent Mercy Connect in relevant sector activities and working groups.

Qualifications
·  Tertiary qualifications desirable
Skills/Knowledge
·  Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to the principles and objectives of the NDIS.
·  Demonstrated leadership qualities enabling implementation of strategic direction within Mercy Connect present and future operations
·  A demonstrated ability to manage and commitment to the principles of successful change management
·  A demonstrated understanding of service standards and their implementation and monitoring of effective performance of support services
·  Demonstrated high level of verbal and written communication skills
·  An ability to integrate information technology developments into your professional practice
·  An understanding of disability and resulting individual impact related to community integration
·  Demonstrated commitment and competence in the development and delivery of service to clients from diverse cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal people.
Experience
·  Extensive demonstrated experience at a management level in a service based organisation
·  Experience in the community sector
