Meeting commenced: 10:03am
RH welcomed everyone present to AGM. 2015 was a good year for the area.
Tom Cotton stated that he does not have a computer and could not access the reports. RH stated that the clubs usually have the information. MD stated that to bear in mind that people are out there that do not have computers and maybe it could be mentioned at events. Dave Elmore stated that he has a board at Walsall and is willing to put any information on it. PH to send information to Dave Elmore.

2. / MATTERS ARISING
- No matters arising from minutes of last annual general meeting.
3. / CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
- RH thanked all committee members.
- RH went through his report.
- MH went through his report.
4. / AUDITORS REPORT
- FW went through the accounts for the year.
- Small profit for the year.
- FW thanked everyone.
- RH stated that there maybe a reduction in rebates with the new scheme that is coming in.

5. / EXAMINERS REPORT
- RH went through his report.
- Grading fees need to stay as they are.
6. / COACHING REPORT
- MD asked if the area can use the GB centre.
- RH stated that it is being used all the time and Midland Area is unable to use it at the moment.
- Kata is going to be very busy over the next 12 months.
7. / EVENTS MANAGERS REPORT
- RH thanked PH for all work.
- Report also from ES.
- Area will be hosting for the Teams this year.
- Banners etc to be requested from National for this event.
- Dave Elmore asked if the area needs to use National’s care system.
- RH replied that the area are looking at this.
- MD stated that there were some complaints following an event and asked if anything came of these.
- RH replied that National investigated and found that the area had nothing to answer to.
8. / MARKETING REPORT
- Pat Elrington went through her report.
- Had a good year.
- Players are aware of items that the Midland Area shop are supplying.
- Judo suits are selling very well.
9. / PATHWAY CENTRE REPORT
- Report contains a list of clubs that support Wednesday sessions.
- Attracting lower grade players.
- Developing players to be competitive.
- If anyone attends that is a coach are invited to coach at the sessions so they can take back to clubs.
- Hoping to do more training camps where more players can participate rather that a few attend events.
- MD stated that it should be noted that have a level 4 coach who is managing it very well.
- Dave Elmore explained the pathway of cadets.
- Now have an Ippon league and cadet ranking is how many Ippons they have.
10. / ELECTION OF OFFICERS
