Live Long and Prosper - Effective Design of eLearning Resources
It would be useful for participants to reflect on design principles which might make digital learning resources and courses more likely to be reused or repurposed.
Please share your thoughts via the Padlets which I have created.
TASK A:
Submit anecdotes of your own professional experiences of reusing digital learning resources or not being able to do so.
OPTIONS
1. A time where digital learning resources that they (or colleagues) have developed, have been used once then needed massive editing or could not be used again due to changes in syllabus, theme or another reasons.
2. Stories of inheriting an online courses and content that was so well constructed that you could teach it without many adaptions for the new class. What design elements made it so effective?
3. A time when you were able to use digital resources created by yourself or others, in multiple Flip Model courses. What features of these resources made this possible?
TASK B:
Submit a flow chart of "How to make a cup of Tea?"

ePortfolio - Student controlled Online Learning Environment
Pre-learning:
Use the following link to access an ePortfolio presentation which I have created in my Brightspace ePortfolio environment and publish to the internet.
At Silkwood School, middle year students have been creating ePortfolio Presentation to show sample of their work to their parents during Student Lead Conferences (SLC). We do not have Parent Teacher interviews, rather the students talk about their learning goals and what they are doing at school with their parents and teachers.
This ePortfolio presentation is a draft template of what the layout of a SLC presentation might look like and it has comments about what the software enables and its limitations.
Where ever you see “Add Comment” inside a box, you can click on the button and please leave a comment.
