SUBJECT: 27th Annual School Bus Technicians Summer Workshops
The Technicians Qualification and Standards Committee of the Florida Association for Pupil Transportation (FAPT) in conjunction with Volusia District Schools have completed plans for the 27th Annual School Bus Technicians Summer Workshop. The workshop will provide school bus diagnostic and repair training in classroom and hands-on settings.
The workshop dates are June 13th-16th 2016, in Daytona Beach. Classes begin on Monday at noon and end on Thursday at noon. On Tuesday and Wednesday classes will start at 7 am and go till 6 pm.
Class reservations are secured by registration on a first come, first serve basis. A confirmation packet including all pertinent information will be sent back four (4) weeks prior to the workshops.
COST: $150.00 per person which includestuition, registration fees, supplies, and some meals (does not include lodging). Late registration $200.00 per person March 31st till April 15th, No registrations will be accepted after April 15th, 2016. There will be an additional cost for MRT, VST, PST testing at $15.00 per test for those requesting testing.

All payment information will be provided with the confirmation packets.
NOTE: Final payment must be received by April 15th, 2016
Because we must guarantee student count, there are NO refunds for cancellations; however, substitutions can be made prior to the start of the workshop.
FAPT Vehicle Service Technician (VST), Master Repair Technician (MRT), and Parts Specialist (PST) certification tests will be given on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Non-participant (walk-in) testing is $15 and will be June 13, 2016 at 4 pm. Walk-ins must register using the lower left of the workshop registration form. All additional tests and retests are $15.00 per test (check only).
Using the enclosed registration form choose from the following for each participant:
Group 1 (IC Corp.)
25 hours of intensive hands-on diagnostic troubleshooting and repair for International IC Buses including engine, chassis, driveline, body and electrical.Group 2 (Thomas)
25 hours of intensive hands-on diagnostic troubleshooting and repair for Thomas Buses including engine, chassis, driveline, body and electrical.Group 3 (Blue Bird)
25 hours of intensive hands-on diagnostic troubleshooting and repair for Blue Bird Buses including engine, chassis, driveline, body and electrical.
Monday Class for groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Please choose one of the following for Monday afternoon:

- Allison Trans, Ricon W/C Lifts, Braun W/C Lifts
Additionally, Florida School Bus Safety Inspector Certification hands-on testing will be available. Please follow instructions on the attached School Bus Inspector Hands-On Testing Registration Form.
