The Board of Beadle county Commissioners met Monday, November 30, 2015 at 9:00 a.m., pursuant to adjournment of November 17, 2015 with member present: Chair Benson, Vice Chair Hansen, Drake, Marcus and Mattke.

“GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET”

WHEREAS, UNANTICIPATED REIMBURSEMENTS WERE RECEIVED FROM THE STATE OF SOUTH DAKOTA FOR STOP/VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN ACT GRANT. THE FOLLOWING ITEM WILL BE ADDED TO THE 2015 BUDGET YEAR.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT THE BOARD OF BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DO HEREBY PROPOSE, MAKE AND MOVE FOR ADOPTION OF THIS GRANT SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET INTHE ITEM SET FORTH ABOVE.

Merl Hanson, Beadle County Highway Superintendent & Randy Hoscheid of Pierce & Harris met with the Board to discuss engineering support for the 5 year Beadle County Highway & Bridge Improvement Plan.

Merl Hanson, Beadle County Highway Superintendent, submitted a proposal to purchase a Belly Dump Trailer (to haul larger loads), to replace a Truck Body, Box and Hoist (due to age), and to purchase Snow Equipment (which has to be ordered 200 days out). Moved by Marcus, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to approve purchase of the equipment (in the amount of about $267,000.00). All equipment is already budgeted for and will be paid out of the 2016 Budget.

Moved by Hansen, seconded by Mattke, motion carried. To approve travel request of Emergency Management Director Tom Moeding to attend a Winter Storm Waring meeting in Mitchell, South Dakota on December 9, 2015.

Pat Tschetter, Beadle County Director of Equalization met with the Board for further discussion on development of GIS(Geographic Information System) for Beadle County. Moved by Drake, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to enter into an agreement with Planning & Development District III for development of the Geographic Information System.

Moved by Mattke, seconded by Hansen, motion carried to go into Executive Session pursuant to SDCL 1-25-2 (1) (4) at 10:20 a.m. Chair Benson declared Executive Session over at 11:17 a.m.

The Board adjourned to meet next on Tuesday December 8, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.
