Old Business

Officer Training reports were given. Jerry Weber said LaPorteCounty went well. There was a smaller than expected crowd, and a little snow, but they were treated to a lot of food. Upcoming trainings are Marshall (1-2 people are still needed – this is during spring break on March 13th, and you will have to drive yourself), Johnson, Howard, and Hamilton counties. James asks that you please e-mail in advance if you cannot make it, so they have time to find replacements.

Dougie was not available for an update of the Spring Fest committee.

Members who would like to go to Murdock Elementary are welcome to meet at 3:00 behind Lilly on Wednesdays. Michelle Getts said they did not go last week, but they did do the food groups and ate ice cream last time!

Club members are all invited to go to the Beef House on March 30th. We will be meeting up with the Collegiate 4-H from the University of Illinois. We will leave around 4:00 pm and it’s always a good time! (And come on kids, it’s THE Beef House!) A sign-up will be at the next meeting, and everyone will pay for themselves.

A presentation was given by Keith about the national conference held in Denver, Colorado.

New Business

Dustin discussed doing a campus service project with PSG. We would clean parts of campus along with PSG. We have adopted the South State Street lawn (between Russell and Marstellar). This is part of the Campus Clean-up Initiative. We will be going out every other week once it gets warmer out.

There is an opportunity to work at the National Guard camp. They are looking for five Purdue volunteers to be Junior Counselors from July 5th-12th. There will be around 200 kids up to 16 years of age, food and lodging is taken care of, and Steve needs to know any interests by March 20th. Ask Steve for details.

We have finally closed the Regional account. We did not spend all the expected money, and the rest will be used to support other delegates going to future conferences.

James is selling boxes of popcorn for IAAE $3/box. You can buy them after meetings or order from him.

The meeting was adjourned by Tyler with a second from Julia.

Next meeting will be Thursday, March20th, at 7:00 pm in Lilly 3-118.
