1.  Called to Order

2.  Approved Minutes from last meeting

3.  Treasurer’s Report – Dennis was absent tonight

4.  Old Business –

a.  City-Wide Cleanup – Joy McLain, Candy Mullins, Shelly and Cole Cannon thanks for helping out at this great event to give back to the community!

b.  Thrift Store Grant – approved and received $250

c.  College Football Signing Party – held in school cafeteria on April 27, served cake and punch to about 60 students, faculty and staff. Congrats to the Johnny Heath, Braxton Allen and Drew Sachen on signing to play college football!

d.  Car Wash will be held at Advance Auto – June 11th from 11:00am — 2:00pm. Still need someone to lead and some volunteers to work, as no one has signed up yet online. If you are willing to help but don’t want to sign up online, please let us know and we will put you down. This takes several adults to supervise and keep the line going, so your help would be much appreciated.

e.  Bake Sale will be held at Wal-Mart – June 18th from 10:00am — 2:00pm. This is the day before Father’s Day so we are hoping this will help boost some sales. Still need someone to lead and only have one parent signed up online to both donate items and/or work the sale. If you wish to help, please email us or sign up at volunteer spot.

f.  Fore our Boys of Fall Golf Tournament – June 24th at Falcon Lakes Golf Course. In the past the Seniors have helped work this. Shelly Cannon is in charge of this. She is in need of hole prizes/raffle prizes. If you would like to donate anything, please let us know and we can put you in touch with her.

g.  Fourth of July Shaved Ice at Fort Leavenworth – we have asked to sell brats with this and are just waiting on the okay from the person in charge on post. We will be looking for some volunteers to help with this as time gets closer.

h.  Donkey Basketball – Not able to do because of scheduling/refinished B-Ball floor.

i.  50/50 Raffle – Will need Freshmen and JV parents to volunteer to work this at a game or two (until the drawing at half-time), so please keep in mind as the season approaches.

5.  New Business –

a.  Discount Cards

·  Players are interested in beginning sales earlier than last year, mid June or first part of July. They can potentially sell them at July 4th shaved ice fundraiser.

·  Need volunteers to solicit businesses to renew on the card – Candy Mullins will be contacting the businesses to see if they are interested in renewing.

·  We are looking in to getting them printed somewhere else that is less expensive.

b.  New ideas for the upcoming season

·  Erika met with returning Seniors on Apr. 27. The following are a list of their ideas:

1) LV polo shirts for the team to wear on game days to dress up – looking at some prices on these and will share at the May meeting

2) They will design team meal payment t-shirts

3) They would like to have some team get-togethers. If you are interested in hosting the team at your house for a movie night, game night, pizza night, etc., please let us know.

4) Senior hoodies – they will ask their parents if they would like to help offset the purchase of these

·  IHOP fundraiser – Shelly Cannon is going to check in to doing this.

6.  Coach Littrell Updates:

a.  Mulch delivery was a success. We had plenty of players and parents to help. This brought in an additional $925 for the football team.

b.  Coach Littrell will plan to do game film on Saturday mornings rather than after games on Friday nights. He asked if the Booster Club would provide breakfast for the players. Options might include biscuits and gravy, homemade pancakes or waffles, etc. We will have a sign up for this in August for those interested in offering up their culinary skills.

c.  Coach Littrell is planning to change the way summer workouts are run. The focus will have more teambuilding activities.

7.  Upcoming dates:

a.  May 31st – June 3rd – Junior High Football Camp at LHS

b.  May 31st – June 3rd – 9th Grade Football Camp at LHS

c.  June 11th – Car Wash Fundraiser at Advance Auto Parts

d.  June 18th – Bake Sale at Wal-Mart

e.  July 4th – Shaved Ice Fundraiser at Fort Leavenworth 4th of July Celebration

f.  July 18th – 20th – Youth Football Camp at LHS (Grades K-6)

8.  Next Booster Club Meeting – Wednesday, May 18th @ 6pm. Please pass the word along. We need to get as many parents involved as possible.
