COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This class will expose students to the five major responsibilities of Biblical leadership. We will explore the meaning, mission and methods of quality kingdom leadership. Key comparisons and clear distinctions will be drawn between secular leadership and biblical leadership.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

(1) Students will acquire a clear understanding of key biblical self leadership perspectives, principles and practices.

(2) Students will be familiarized with the five major responsibilities of Biblical leadership.

(3) Students will be versed in the special skill set that’s needed to effectively and efficiently fulfill the five major responsibilities of biblical leadership.

(4) Students will clearly identify their leadership strengths and weaknesses.

(5) Students will put together a strategic plan for their growth and development as a leader.

(6) Students will learn the dynamics of leading yourself into high levels of personal, prophetic and

and professional success.

GRADING SCALE:

Class Quizzes: 100 Points

Students will be given quizzes to check their retention and grasp of past leadership

lectures. The quizzes will be based solely on the lectures and not the reading

assignments.

Reading Assignments: 100 Points

Students must submit a class reading report, which consists of at least a half page summary of each chapter they are required to read. The reading report is due on

March 16, 2011.

Class Paper: 200 Points

Students will be required to write one three to five page report on how they will strategically develop themselves as leaders, through “My Leadership Greatness” paradigm due March 23,2011.

Class Participation: 100 Points

Students are expected to be vocal and active during small and large group class activities.

Homework Assignments: 100 Points

There will be homework assignments given during some class period. They will mostly be related to something we covered in class.

Attendance Policy: In accordance with The Detroit Bible Institute policy all students must attend a minimum of 10 classes in order to receive credit for course. Excused absences are considered at the discretion of the instructor and will not count against the student. In the event that a student does have an excused absence instructor reserves the right to assign extra homework and reading to make up for lecture time missed by student.

Grading Policy: Students must complete a minimum of 75% of all course work in order to pass. (450 points minimum are required in order to pass this class).

Behavior Policy: Students will fail this course and may be dismissed from class if they are found cheating, being dishonest about work done in the course, harassing other students or demonstrating destructive behavior.
