BURTON TOWNSHIP REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
Supervisor Jones called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on
Tuesday, September 13, 2016 in the Village Hall, Spring Grove, IL.
Roll call present: Supervisor Jones, Clerk Shetsky, Road Commissioner Sutton, Trustees; Eileen Miller, Merrilee Anhalt, Dennis Riechert, John Flood, and Assessor Jessica Hubert.
Guest: Ted Trzaskowski and Karen Megaw.
Supervisor Jones led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the regular meeting held on August 09, 2016 were read. Trustee Dennis Riechert made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Trustee Eileen Miller. The accounts payable were presented for payment for the various funds, they were audited, initialed and ordered paid.

Supervisors Report
· The Trustees reviewed the Senior Transportation Funds statement. We are still, questioning how much do they budget and the service? Trustee Merrilee will follow up with them at the next meeting.
· Trustee Dennis Riechert made a motion to accept the amount of $4,302.00 as the amount to be paid to the Senior Transportation service as per our Inner governmental agreement. It was seconded by Trustee Eileen Miller, voice vote, all ayes, motion carried.
· Sam has hired Mr. Joe Miller to paint the outside of the Town Hall along with replacing the fascia and soffits. Joe will also do inside repairs and paint.
· Precinct #3 was short two election judges for the 2017 election. Sam has been told that someone from his church will be helping out.
· Sam will take a class on how the duties of a deputy clerk to help in the next election.
· Mr. Jack Franks has informed Sam during the Supervisor meeting that he is not intending to consolidate our Townships.
Road Commissioners Report
· Dan has his men doing brushing and mowing ditches in the Township.
· Two of the Trucks now have new tires.
· There were three trees removed in the Township.
Assessors Report:
· There were 41 email inquiries for various properties.
There were 60 phone calls from homeowners with assessment inquiries and complaints.
There were 2 permits.
We had 5 Sales this month.
· Jessica submitted the assessments for publication. She has received a lot of calls, along with site visits and appts.
· The last day to appeal is September 26, 2016.
· The Township has received four PTAB appeals; in which Jessica sent notes into the county board. Jessica is keeping up with the appeals and they are submitted. She will provide more accurate numbers at the next meeting.
· The Assessor’s schedule for October and November are as follows:
Away Oct. 24-29 but will be answering emails and calls.
Away Nov. 5-13th on vacation will no access to emails or phone until her return.

Public Comments
· Mrs. Megaw wanted to Thank Jessica for explaining the Taxes and being so knowledgeable.
· The Board members introduced ourselves to Karen along with our title.
· Mr. Trzaskowski stated that he was happy with the paint job on the Town Hall and the paving of Siedschlagg looked great. He received his tax bill and placed a call to Jessica on a Friday. He was very impressed and thankful when she returned his call on Sunday.

A motion was made by Trustee: Eileen Miller to adjourn the meeting at 7:39 p.m. it was seconded by Trustee John Flood, voice vote all ayes, motion carried.
