Saturday, March 2, 2013 (Immediately after final rounds and before awards)

Event Description and Entries
Competitors are asked to choose a factual or fictitious person/character from a present or historical time period. Scenario: Characters/people are stuck in a hot air balloon, which is quickly falling to Earth. The balloon is only strong enough to hold one person. Competitors are asked to debate against everyone in the balloon in order to convince the judges that they are the most valued person to stay.

As a competitor, your character can be whoever you want it to be as long as it is not a concept or idea. For example, an acceptable character would be like Captain Planet, Gaia, Winston Churchill, and Princess Leia. An unacceptable character would be emotions, theories, etc.

Each school participating may enter one competitor and one judge, both of which must be students.

Fees Winner takes all!!!
