Job Purpose / Responsibilities–
Preparing mixed batch and supply to the furnace for glass melting.
Key Accountabilities
To mix batch materials required by using ELIMKO System with standard
tolerances From batch composition (formulation) Given byAssistant Production Manager.
Filled all silos with enough raw materials to achieved required quantity of mixed batch thru rotating conveyor and ensure that correct raw materials are selected .(Sand, Limestone, Feldspar, Soda ash , Borax, MnO2, Foreign cullet and In – house cullet
To clean all weighing scales once a month and check the calibration and assist electrical department during calibration which is done every sixth month.
To mix batch with two options (auto and manual mode)
auto mode----be sure all scales are zero or click tare before start batch mixing
manual mode ---select which materials you need to start individuals until you reach the demanded weights
Ensure after completion of batch weighing and before discharging either hopper # 1 ,
Hopper # 2 or containers (bin/elevator)should inform to furnace operator to press batch
Call which hopper or in containers to be filled Must log on all daily routine task
Respect Safety regulations all the time
Replace all old batch containers every two month or if required and manually feed with cooperation of Furnace operator
EHS Responsibility:
Ensures compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS), in line with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, with emphasis on compliance and continuous improvements.
Authority:
To halt performing the activity and inform his superiors , in case of any issues related to quality, environment & safety

Batch preparation
Batch supply the furnace for glass melting
Mixed batch using ELIMKO system for transferring mixed batch to hopper #1,hopper # 2 or containers
Relevant Education, Knowledge & Experience:
Can read and write the required standard verbal/written communications
Can handled one shift and having ability to operates equipment used in batch mixing process
Respect, cooperate flexibility with suddenly changes in job and duties. Accept all job
Responsibility as per required.
Minimum high school graduated, higher secondary school will be preferred
Accept to work in roster (shifter)
Should have bricklaying experience, worked with bricklaying companies in repairing or rebuilding furnaces experience
