The following terms and conditions were agreed and came into effect on 01 January 2013.
The Pensions Clause was amended in December 2015 in preparation for auto-enrolment
All figures quoted are for full time posts. Part-time posts will be eligible for the pro-rata equivalent.

SALARIES

Salaries are reviewed annually every September and any agreed raise will be in the form of an across-the-board percentage. Full details are contained in the Salary Review Procedure.

HOURS OF WORK

The standard working week is 37.5 hours based on five eight hour days (Monday to Friday) with a half hour lunch break. The working day is officially 0900 to 1700 hours. Some staff are able to work flexi-time, the core hours are 1000 to 1600 hours, staff must adhere to these hours. Working from home may be undertaken occasionally with line manager’s approval.
NIGHTS AWAY FROM HOME
Staff who are away from home more than 50 nights within any financial year will be paid an additional £50 per night for each extra night away. This additional pay will be paid on a monthly basis.
HOLIDAYS
INTRAC’s holiday year runs from 1April to 31 March. Increases in holiday entitlements for long service are on a sliding scaleas follows:-
First year - 25 days, pro rata for completed months worked
After 2 years - 26 days
After 4 years – 27 days
After 6 years – 28 days
After 8 years - 29 days
Increases come into the year following qualification.
An additional ‘INTRAC Day’ is given at Christmas on a day agreed by the Directors.
Up to 5 days unused holiday can be carried forward to the next year with line managers approval. To carry forward any additional unused holiday a letter must be submitted to the Executive Director explaining why this leave hasn’t been taken.
SICK LEAVE
Entitlement to full pay during sick leave is as follows:-
Employment under 6 months- up to 5 working days (probation period)
6 months to 1 year - up to 10 working days
1 to 2 years - up to 20 working days
2 to 4 years - up to 40 working days
more than 4 years - up to 60 working days

TIME OFF IN LIEU
For Consultants and other staff who travel with work:
Time off in lieu for weekends and Bank holidays is calculated as 1 day for each Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday on which an employee is required to work on an overseas assignment. Time off in lieu must be taken within 8 weeks of weekends worked. Staff are asked not to travel or work on weekends or bank holidays unless work arrangements require them to do so.
For Part-time Staff:
Additional time worked can be taken as time off in lieu within the same month. Additional hours must be recorded on the time sheet.
PENSION
All salaried staff are entitled to join the INTRAC Pension scheme administered by the Pensions Trust. INTRAC will also contribute an equivalent amount up to a maximum of 5% to the scheme.
This scheme is compliant with the requirements of auto-enrolment. Staff affected by auto-enrolment will be enrolled in this scheme.
