ROLE PROFILE

TITLE: IP Information and Reporting Manager
TEAM/PROGRAMME: SCI International Programmes / LOCATION: Any country where Save the Children has an existing office
GRADE: / CONTRACT LENGTH: 15 months (Oct 2017 - end Dec 2018)
CHILD SAFEGUARDING
Level 2: either the role holder will have access to personal data about children and/or young people as part of their work; or they will be working in a ‘regulated’ position (accountant, barrister, solicitor, legal executive); therefore a police check will be required (at ‘standard’ level in the UK or equivalent in other countries).
ROLE PURPOSE
The post holder will be part of the IP Management Information (MI) team and will support IP’s management information & reporting requirements.
This role will be responsible for:
·  Leading management of future deployments and developments of management initiatives (eg. IATI reporting, CO Dashboard, KPI Review, KPI v2.0)
·  Providing principal stakeholders with appropriate, timely, attractive information detailing accurate key facts & analysis on full spectrum delivery
·  Ensuring IP MI meets its internal reporting requirements to high quality standard
·  Leading roll-out & training on information & reporting mechanisms within the unit’s remit.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
SCOPE OF ROLE
Reports to: Head, IP Management Information

Role Dimensions: Over 60 countries across eight regional locations including the Pacific and home offices of Save the Children members, with a staff complement of approximately 24,000.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Manage the design and delivery of key management initiatives (eg. IATI reporting, CO Dashboard, KPI v2.0, KPI review) (60%)
·  Design & develop documentation for each management initiative (project charter, implementation plan, budget, stakeholder engagement plan, etc)
·  Ensure timely, meaningful and efficient consultations with key stakeholder reference groups
·  Manage key meetings of the various elements of the governance structure;
·  Maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders throughout initiatives
·  Pro-actively work to ensure deliverables are completed on time and on budget
·  Ensure constructive and effective engagement between the business and IT teams to ensure fixes and enhancements meet the needs of the organisation (beyond IP at the centre)
·  Serve as the owner for managing the development of the IT product solution
·  Ensure there are appropriate Change management plans in order for new products/platform are successfully adopted at the various levels
·  Provide timely and impactful communication and updates to all stakeholders across the global movement: field staff, regional offices, members and the centre office in London
Analysis, Reporting, & Facilitation Support (30%)
·  Lead, coordinate, and deliver on a suite of management information reports, presentations, and dashboards relating to KPIs, Board Reporting, MPP, Quarterly Reports, in coordination with other business partners
·  Coordinate the MPP and Quarterly Review end-to-end processes, ensuring these meetings operate smoothly
Support IP objectives (10%)
·  Provide analysis and understanding of key strategic issues to better inform strategic decisions and resource allocation (eg. Sustainable Delivery, OPS, etc)
·  Be the focal point within the MI team with the Global Results Framework project, supporting the delivery of the project
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential:
·  Demonstrate a track record of delivering projects in a complex organisation
·  Understanding of project management methodology
·  Experience in solving complex issues through analysis, definition of a clear way forward and ensuring buy in
·  Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a substantial workload comprised of complex, diverse tasks and responsibilities
·  Significant analytical and reporting experience
·  Excellent communication skills, the ability to build credibility and internal networks quickly, and gain change acceptance across a wide stakeholder group
·  Understanding of the complex interfaces between program management, M&E, Grants management, logistic, Finance and HR management and how these can be effectively supported by systems.
·  Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence
·  Ability to demonstrate practical know-how at operational level
Desirable:
·  Substantial management experience in field operations, across the full spectrum of programming from humanitarian assistance to development, with an understanding also of institutional needs supportive of the global mission
·  Experience in IT platform design and development
