With over 16 years in TV, I have gone from; Production Trainee to multi skilled senior factual Producer Director with stints as a Deputy Series Producer and Series Director. Along the way I have directed hours for BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky 1, TLC, received an RTS nomination for a regional doc and critical acclaim for an authored Channel 4 doc that I also fronted. I shoot and edit to a high standard also working across genres has made me a better director. My focus is always on exceeding expectations regardless of how difficult the circumstances.
2016 – PRODUCER DIRECTOR ‘THE HAIRY BIKERS’ CHICKEN & EGG’ BBC1
BBC - 1x1 HR Directed and edited the final episode of a brand new series featuring Britain’s two favourite hirsute biking cooks travelling the world to find, prepare and eat the most popular chicken and egg recipes on the planet.

BBC – VT’s Shot, directed and edited VT’s for the BBC’s annual blue chip Royal horticultural event.

RAISE THE ROOF – 2x1 HRS Directed two shows in the first series of this BAFTA nominated primetime property format, featuring Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer. I also edited one of the shows.

BBC MUSIC - Produced, directed, shot and edited a behind the scenes documentary at the BBC's inaugural Music Awards - filming with all the headline acts in the build up to the big night.

BOOMERANG – Shot and directed across a structured observational documentary series that lifts the lid on the hidden world of high end pawn broking.
2014 – PRODUCER DIRECTOR ‘IT WAS ALRIGHT IN THE 70’s’ CHANNEL 4
OBJECTIVE PRODUCTIONS – 3x1 HRS Directed the studio shoots on this high profile topical prime time show for Channel 4 that featured an impressive list of interviewees. I worked closely with an art director to create a 70’s style backdrop. Winner of the RTS Scotland Award for Factual Entertainment and Features.

BBC – Filmed, directed and edited high end VT's showcasing the British teams competing in the inaugural Invictus Games, a Paralympic style for injured servicemen and women that was devised and championed by Prince Harry.

MENTORN – Brought ‘user generated content’ to life, self shooting interviews with key contributors and experts.

OBJECTIVE PRODUCTIONS – 1X3 HRS As the lead P/D, I compiled the films, booked contributors, conducted interviews and produced Vinnie’s links then edited the show working with 2 other producers.

RICOCHET -10x45MINS Filmed all over Spain for 10 weeks across 11 obs doc strands. Produced stories ranging from a couple building a ranch in the desert to a family starting a kids theatre and edited them back in the UK.
2006 - DIRECTOR ‘A PLACE BY THE SEA’ CHANNEL 4 FREEFORM -1x1HRS Directed a special on the South Coast. Researched and scripted an episode then filmed for a week in Bournemouth with a 2 camera crew, presenter and contributors.

CLASS FILMS -10x30MINS Filmed with a comedian gambling his way around the world, from New Orleans to Mexico to Israel to Russia to Monte Carlo, on a format that I developed on to screen. Edited 10 out of 15 of the shows.

FOLIO PRODUCTIONS -1x1HR Directed and self shot this obs doc about a Police dog handling unit in Edinburgh, based in Scotland for 6 weeks. Exec’d by Nick Curwin received over 24% of the audience comfortably winning it's slot.

THE LAB -6x30MINS As well as Deputy Series Producing, I produced, directed and edited an episode about London's crack cocaine epidemic which was ‘Pick of the Day' in Time Out. The series went on to win an RTS Award.
