2016 Minimum Requirements for Scholarship Application

For Students Attending the University of Florida in 2016-2017

Deadline to apply: June 1, 2016

The Chipola Area Gators will award 1-2 scholarships to an individual(s) from Jackson, Holmes, Washington, or Calhoun counties for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. We invite all eligible applicants to apply, based upon the minimum eligibility requirements listed below. The application deadline is June 1, 2016. THE MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

  1. You must be planning to attend the University of Florida in the fall of 2016.
  2. You must apply for admission to, and attend, the University of Florida for the fall and spring semesters within the academic year the scholarship is awarded. Funding will not be released until proof of enrollment at the University of Florida is received by the Chipola Area Gators Scholarship Committee in the fall of 2016.
  3. Your most recent GPA should be a minimum 3.0 cumulative unweighted.
  4. You should have a minimum SAT score of 1000 or ACT score of 22.
  5. If requested, you must make yourself available for an interview with the Chipola Area Gators Scholarship Committee.
  6. The selection criteria for awarding the scholarships will be based upon academic achievement, financial need, and extra-curricular activities participated in during your high school or college years.
  7. You must submit a complete Chipola Area Gators Scholarship application on or before June 1, 2016. The application must be received or postmarked by June 1, 2016.
