The holiday season is upon us, and we are in the midst of our plans for our 8th Annual Dealing with Hearts Gala. On Thursday, February 4th, 2016 we will be hosting an evening filled with fun casino play for prizes, a goods and services auction, as well as a buffet dinner. At this year’s event, we are fortunate to be honoring three very remarkable individuals. They are Charles Fuschillo, Kevin O’Hara, and Kayla Babbush. We are writing to see if you would be interested in supporting us at this year’s Gala.
As you may be aware, Robbie collapsed and died while running the bases at his little league practice in September, 2005 of sudden cardiac arrest. As a result of this tragedy in our lives, we have formed FOREVER 9-THE ROBBIE LEVINE FOUNDATION. We don’t want any other parent to have to suffer through this harrowing experience. We want to celebrate Robbie’s life since he loved life. He was always making someone laugh, having fun, or being with family and friends when not playing ball. He loved helping others. Therefore, Robbie’s Foundation does just that. Its purpose is to help increase the presence of defibrillators and awareness of AEDs and sudden cardiac arrest in children in youth athletics. Over the last several years, we have had ten “Robbie’s Runs”, seven Galas , a Golf and Tennis Outing, several smaller fundraisers, and many donations, which together have raised an incredible amount of money. During this time, we have been fortunate to have received much media publicity of our cause, including a “CNN Heroes” piece on CNN. An AED that we donated actually saved a man’s life on a soccer field. Our message continues to spread throughout the country, and with that, our donation requests for AEDs has greatly increased. With your continued support, our 8th Annual Dealing With Hearts Gala will help us raise even more money to donate AEDs, save lives and continue Robbie’s legacy.
